Crush Around The World

It's times like these when we remember our good fortune & the most important things in life.  Family, friends, loved ones & the priceless times we share along the way.  My heart & prayers go out to the people of Japan & all those around the world who have been personally affected by the recent tragic events.

March marching on into April & it's the legendary time to crush & to be crushed!
These daylight saving hours become a songwriter's muse. I am suddenly overwhelmed with colorful words. Like so many paper shreds from booming confetti canons.  Catching them all may prove to be impossible but I'm happy to keep dancing in the downpour.  Arms wide open.

It's a good time to be here.

One of my favorite things to do when visiting home is to pull out  photos of mom & dad from their early newlywed days in Europe.  The very energy of the photos invoke bright hopes for the future & smiles with promise of beautiful days ahead.  My mom in soft pink accessories & her perfectly coiffed dark hair & huge sunglasses.  This past weekend, I was beyond excited to find a gorgeous white cable knit sweater at a vintage shop which looked identical to one I had seen in one of her photos.  When I called to tell her, my dad answered. Telling him about my find I thought he would be clueless 
To my surprise??

  He remembered the exact sweater
